Homoeopathic management of duodenal ulcer: A case report

Introduction: Duodenal Ulcer is one of the most common gastrointestinal disorders encountered in clinical practice. It causes various distressing symptoms like dyspepsia, nausea and vomiting, abdominal bloating weight gain due to post prandial amelioration symptoms. Commonest complications include upper bleeding, increased Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN) varying degrees anaemia with associated fatigue.Case report: We present a case 56year old male complaining burning pain epigastrium nausea, vomiting dyspeptic troubles for 6months. The endoscopic report confirmed it be Ulcer. After thorough evaluation, patient was treated different potencies Nux vomica Sulphur at point time as suggested by patient’s symptom-complex. Marked improvement symptomatology noted Individualised Homoeopathic treatment 16 months. outcome also recorded endoscopy following treatment. Conclusion: shows excellent response suffering from duodenal ulcer medication. However, single may not draw any significant inference regarding efficacy ulcer. So large scale trials are required establish effectiveness therapeutic tools.
